ORIGINAL Mixed media Artwork 'Caversham Blue' by Romona Sandon.
Framed mixed media artwork of a Splendid Fairywren (Malurus splendens) bird or 'djorrdjilya' in Whadjuk noongar, prancing in the low scrub and resting on an old log. He is based on one of the super speedy blue wrens at Caversham Wildlife park, here in WA, although we do see them down by the river in Bassendean. This is the fifth in my Basso Birds series, a series on bird life from my local Bassendean area on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja in Western Australia.
'Caversham Blue' captures the details of this bird in an expertly produced watercolour and pencil composition. Its vibrant colours and finely crafted design make it a unique artistic statement. With superior quality and creative execution, this art piece is a delightful addition to any room.
