The reference for this painting was Caversham Wildlife Park (Perth) resident, Clyde. He is a Pink cockatoo (Lophochroa leadbeateri) or 'yakalyakal' in local Whadjuk noongar language. They were formerly called the Major Mitchell's cockatoo. He is pictured with a branch of Geraldton Wax.
